Position details
This position is 100% virtual. Work from home. There are a few required in-person staff meetings each year. Must reside in Southern California area.

Job Summary

Job Summary

The Special Education Teacher/Case Manager is responsible for implementing comprehensive and effective instructional programs for students with Individualized Education Programs ("IEPs"), in accordance with the guidance of the Director of Special Education. This includes planning, organizing, presenting, monitoring, and evaluating these programs to ensure meaningful and impactful education for these students. Additionally, the Special Education Teacher/ Case Manager will fulfill any other assigned duties that contribute to the overall success of the school. Requirements / Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A Master’s degree in Education or a related field Valid Clear Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate and/or Extensive Needs) DUAL credential preferred. Minimum of two years of successful experience as a teacher in a special education setting Two years successful experience as a special education case manager is desired Ability to differentiate instructional strategies to support students at all developmental and academic skills levels (grades TK through 12) Credential to be provided and kept current. Failure to renew teaching credentials may result in termination of the at-will agreement State Requirements: Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations. State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance. Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years. Copy of Transcript (unofficial transcripts are accepted) Credential Copy (A valid, current, CA Mild/Moderate or Extensive Needs/Moderate/Severe level 2 Credential) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three current letters of recommendation. Within one year. At least one from an immediate supervisor.) Resume
