2nd Shift Rollomatic Machinist I
- Job Duties and Tasks
- Operate assigned precision CNC machinery.
- Receives process traveler, verify revisions match, review completed previous operations on all paperwork.
- Receives material, loads pallets and robot, as necessary.
- Checks parts for conformances according to inspection plan and blueprint using measuring instruments confidently
- Verify the correct program is running on the machine and revision matches traveler.
- Red tag units that are out of specification (OOS) and submit to the Quality Manager.
- Observe line clearance procedures.
- Ensure work area, machine, tooling, and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil. Tooling returned to proper area.
- Maintain quality and acceptable production outputs.
- Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on assigned machine based on established standards, and record it.
- Offset the machine to the blueprint for part conformance as needed.
- Replace tooling at the machine when required.
- Attend all assigned meetings
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
- One – Three years of machinist experience required, preferably within a medical device company.
- Exposure to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 as it relates to the job.
- Time management, prioritization and organization skills.
- Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods and control plans.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High School or equivalent.
- English communication skills preferred.
- General knowledge of precision measuring instruments. The instruments should include, but not limited to calipers, ID / OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
- Required knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra.
- Skilled in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently – achieving customer and quality objectives.
- Skilled in working independently, following through with assignments with minimal direction.
- Reasoning skills including but not limited to comparing, classifying, analyzing and coordinating- while minimizing duplication.
- Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:
- Safety glasses are required on the manufacturing floor.
