- Job Duties and Tasks
1.1 Safely control and operate Citizen Laser Swiss lathes and various machines involved in production
1.2 Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may
include lathes and similar equipment.
1.3 Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
1.4 Inspects machined parts with precision gauges and inspection equipment, ensuring compliance with
function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
1.5 Good understanding of GD&T.
1.6 Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or
discarded pieces.
1.7 Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine
adjustments and maintenance.
1.8 Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly PM’s as required.
1.9 Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
1.10 Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
2.1 At least one year of related experience required
2.2 Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
2.3 Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
2.4 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
2.5 Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP compliance
2.6 Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
2.7 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Education, Certifications, And/or Licenses Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program preferred.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for education requirements.
- Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand or walk; use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.
- Work Environment:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable.
- Includes exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Work environment is temperature controlled.
