Role Description The Project Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO. This role is responsible for leading projects from concept through construction documents, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring design intent is carried through all phases. Day-to-day tasks include developing drawings and specifications, managing BIM models, preparing and reviewing submittals, and supporting project administration. The Project Architect will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, contribute to design reviews, and help maintain project schedules and quality standards. The role also involves staying current with code requirements, supporting sustainable design initiatives, and mentoring team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture, including design development, construction documentation, and familiarity with building codes.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including coordinating teams, managing timelines, and overseeing project deliverables.
- Experience with Submittals, including preparation, review, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, preferably with Revit or similar platforms.
- Understanding of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and commitment to sustainable design practices.
- Professional degree in Architecture; licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.
- Experience in urban and/or historic redevelopment projects is a plus.
