What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at EW Tax and Valuation Group, LLP?
Tax Manager: Client Ownership, Staff Leadership, and Room to Grow
About the Company
If you are an experienced tax professional and your current role feels impersonal, bureaucratic and limiting, EW Group may be worth a conversation. We offer challenging work, the ability to own client relationships, and the opportunity to grow your career at a firm where people’s work, judgment, and character matter.
We are a Dallas CPA firm that has been serving businesses and high net worth clients for more than 35 years. At a time when many firms are being absorbed into larger platforms, EW Group is choosing the narrower path. We are staying independent, Dallas-based, and committed to serving our clients with excellence, integrity, and care. At EW Group, you will be closer to the client, closer to the partners, and closer to the decisions that shape the firm. This role is for someone who wants to see the whole picture, not just one narrow piece of the work. You will help manage client work from start to finish, develop staff, and your contribution will matter.
About the Role
We are looking for a Tax Manager who can deliver high-quality results, develop staff, and build strong client relationships. You will help move client projects from start to finish, prepare and review complex tax work, manage deadlines and open items, and serve as a trusted resource for both clients and staff. Relationship building matters, but this is not a sales-quota role. Our growth comes primarily from doing excellent work, serving clients well, and earning referrals.

This is still public accounting, and busy seasons matter. But EW Group is intentionally building a firm where challenging work, client service, and a sustainable long-term career can coexist. We are open to the right path for the right person. What matters most is a shared perspective on client trust, quality work, staff leadership, and excitement for the firm’s future.
