Click on the link to learn more about Evonik from our employees: https://careers.evonik.com/en/about/meet-the-team/ RESPONSIBILITIES Understand the automation & digitalization needs and opportunities within Evonik in the Asia Pacific region Identification & execution of projects with the focus on general instrumentation, automation & digitalization of Evonik`s production plants Data collection and evaluation, prediction of mathematical models, selection and implementation of optimization concepts and development of meaningful visualizations Development of process control strategies e.g. Advanced Process Control with multivariable controller`s incl. the development of the dynamic model for different production processes Support development and deployment of globally aligned and harmonized digital solutions Collaboration within a global network of digitalization experts and initiatives REQUIREMENTS Successfully completed studies (Bachelor/Master/PhD) in the field of process control, automation, data engineering or process technology Deep knowledge about model based process control and optimization Experience in data engineering and data visualization Knowledge about OT infrastructure in production plants including the involved production related systems (e.g. DCS, PIMS, etc.) Previous work experience in the petrochemical/pharmaceutical/specialty chemical industries (5-10 years) Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (Chinese is a plus as need to work closely with Chinese technical colleagues and stakeholders) Committed and loyal team member, which represents high self-motivation, flexibility and creativity Interest in being part of a global working group Willingness for international business travel Your Application To ensure that your application is proceeded as quickly as possible and to protect the environment, please apply online via our careers portal.
