This position is part of a multi-skilled team within Central Maintenance at Tippecanoe Laboratories. Operator I Production supports capital and maintenance efforts to maximize equipment uptime. The role involves collaboration with maintenance, reliability, automation, plant/process engineering, and operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation and lab equipment.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment compliance.
- Accurately document all work activities and time in SAP.
- Follow written procedures and verbal instructions while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Learn and apply company policies, procedures, and departmental functions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to ESHS protocols and PPE requirements.
- Participate in required training and demonstrate continuous improvement in job performance.
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests as needed.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP standards to maintain product quality (SISPQ).
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of industrial instrumentation experience.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or applicable technical training.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer service manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and with a diverse customer base.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and documentation abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions (hot or cold conditions).
