Provides quality control oversite for the ROHACELL Shapes operation by conducting and/or reviewing first article inspections, performing in-process production inspections, creation of certifications of product for delivery to customers, creating and responding to corrective actions, and performing other quality-related duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review purchase orders and customer specifications to ensure requirements can be met prior to order release.
- Evaluate products for compliance with customer and internal specifications.
- Create inspection test plans and first article inspection reports for product release.
- Recommend process improvements based on quality data, inspections, and analysis.
- Support AS9100-compliant documentation systems, including equipment calibration and lab maintenance.
- Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits (AS9100, ISO14001, RC14001).
- Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide quality documentation for onsite customer source inspections.
- Support supplier quality management and production performance improvements using SPC techniques.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of equivalent training and/or experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with guidance, without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and self-starter mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO, Lean, Six Sigma etc.) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet quality objectives.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Familiar with MS office and Excel.
