We are partnering with an advanced defense and space technology organization building next-generation AI-driven engineering systems. This team is developing platforms that compress hardware development cycles from years to days.
This is not a traditional software role.
You will lead development of applications that generate real, manufacturable hardware, propulsion components, structural systems, and/or high-reliability electronics by combining physics, simulation, CAD automation, and intelligent design workflows.
If you’ve built flight hardware, automated engineering pipelines, and believe design cycles can be radically accelerated, this role is worth exploring.

What You’ll Do
- Own the roadmap for applications that generate production-ready 3D geometry and/or full PCB designs from performance requirements
- Build automated loops between CAD systems and simulation tools
- Embed manufacturability constraints directly into design workflows
- Develop or apply optimization workflows that output buildable, production-ready hardware
- Collaborate with propulsion, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to validate designs against real-world test data
- Mentor engineers and help shape next-generation computational engineering systems
- Advanced degree (MS 5 years or PhD 3 years preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- Experience designing hardware that flew or operated in demanding environments
- Strong programming skills in Python or C
- Experience automating CAD and CAE tools
- Hands-on familiarity with simulation methods such as CFD, FEA, thermal analysis, or circuit simulation
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects

Salary : $165,000 - $250,000
