Program Manager

We’re working with a growing space technology company looking for an experienced Spacecraft Program Manager to lead a key spacecraft program from development through delivery.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the center of engineering, production, supply chain, finance, customers and subcontractors. You’ll take ownership of complex program schedules, budgets, risks and deliverables while acting as a primary customer-facing representative.

The role would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex technical programs, can confidently work across multiple teams, and has a strong track record of delivering hardware-focused programs in demanding environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading program schedules, resource plans, budgets, procurement plans and risk management

• Managing government customer relationships, contractual requirements and formal program deliverables

• Coordinating technical interchange meetings and program reviews

• Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including statements of work and critical-path deliveries

• Working closely with engineering, R&D, production, supply chain and finance

• Tracking and reporting labor and material spend, forecasts and overall program performance

• Identifying program risks early and presenting clear options and recommendations to leadership

• Supporting detailed production planning and customer meetings

• Maintaining compliance with relevant government policies and security requirements

What we’re looking for:

• 10 years of experience within a high-technology or engineering environment

• Strong program or project management experience involving complex technical products

• Demonstrated experience managing government contracts from capture/proposal through execution and closeout

• Experience managing programs involving significant subcontractor or supplier activity

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline

• Experience with program planning, earned value management, risk management, schedule management and financial controls

• Familiarity with tools such as Wrike, MS Project and Excel

• Strong customer-facing, leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to influence and coordinate teams without direct authority

• U.S. citizenship

Experience within aerospace, defense, satellites, spacecraft operations or propulsion systems would be particularly valuable.
