Join a pioneering space robotics team developing autonomous systems for lunar and orbital missions. As an Autonomy Software Engineer, you’ll design and build the software that enables rovers and spacecraft to navigate, decide, and operate independently in the harshest environments imaginable.
What You’ll Do
- Develop advanced navigation, localization, and decision-making algorithms
- Design autonomy software for robotic systems operating in extreme space conditions
- Integrate and optimize autonomy software across multiple engineering disciplines
- Validate and refine systems through simulation and field testing
- Stay ahead of the curve by applying cutting-edge autonomy and robotics research
- 3 years of experience developing autonomy or navigation software
- Strong skills in C , Python, and ROS
- Expertise in state estimation, sensor fusion, or belief-space planning
- Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or Aerospace Engineering
- Must be a U.S. Person
- M.S. or Ph.D. in robotics or autonomy
- Experience with space or unstructured environments
- Familiarity with VxWorks, cFS, Docker, or VirtualBox
- Experience with sensor modeling and calibration
