Evolve’s mission is to support disabled and neurodivergent community members - and their networks - through specialized programs that promote autonomy and improve quality of life. The Accounting Support Specialist supports the day-to-day financial operations of our nonprofit organization under the supervision of the Operations Director and the organization’s Shared CFO, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting accounting operations in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a flexible part-time role supporting a mission-driven organization, working alongside a supportive Shared CFO with substantial nonprofit accounting experience.
Principal (Essential) Duties:
- Enter customer invoices and cash receipts
- Process client invoices, vendor bills, and cash disbursements
- Record bi-monthly payroll journal entries
- Manage and track payments from private, corporate, insurance, and government sources
- Reconcile invoices, payments, and account balances
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up as needed
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records
- Enter service data for bi-monthly billing submissions to government agencies
- Assist with account reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Utilize Google Workspace applications, including Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive
Secondary Duties:
- Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- Prior bookkeeping or accounting support experience required
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Ramp preferred
- Experience working within Google Workspace preferred
- Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
- Experience with government billing processes is a plus
Working Conditions/ Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
- Perform light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Operate office/computer equipment
- Use technology to efficiently access various online platforms to perform work
Pay Rate: $18-24 per hour, depending on experience
