About the Role
Evolv is a payments technology company that helps businesses of all sizes implement payment strategies to eliminate or reduce fees and mitigate against risk. As an Associate AE, you are the first conversation in every deal — finding business owners, earning their attention, and booking qualified consultations for our Account Executives.
You'll be trained on the NEPQ sales methodology from day one, coached daily, and evaluated at structured checkpoints at Day 5, Day 10, Day 15, and Day 30. Top performers become eligible for promotion to Account Executive in as little as 60 days.
Earning Potential
- Base salary: $45,000
- Year 1 OTE: $55,000–$65,000
- Commission: Uncapped
- AE promotion eligibility: 90 days
Career Path
Associate AE → Account Executive (90-day eligibility) → Senior Account Executive

What You'll Do
- Make outbound calls and send emails to businesses every day
- Run consultative conversations to understand a business's payment situation
- Book qualified consultations for Account Executives meeting all four qualification criteria
- Shadow AE discovery and closing meetings to accelerate your own development
- Maintain your pipeline in HubSpot and hit daily activity standards
- Receive daily coaching, AI-assisted call reviews, and structured feedback
Who We're Looking For
We don't require prior sales experience. We do require the right makeup.
- You're a strong communicator — you can hold a conversation, read a room, and get to the point
- You're competitive and motivated by measurable outcomes
- You've handled rejection before (sports, retail, fundraising, anything) and came back for more
- You're disciplined enough to show up and execute on the days you don't feel like it
- You're genuinely curious about how businesses work and make money
- You're looking for a sales career, not a stepping stone to something unrelated
- Former college athletes
Note: Finance, accounting, or analyst backgrounds are welcome — but only if you're making a deliberate move into sales. If your goal is a return-to-finance role in two years, this isn't the right fit.
