Duties
- Create beautiful floral arrangements tailored to customer preferences and special occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and presentation
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products by providing expert advice on floral design, care, and maintenance
- Maintain the floral display area by stocking fresh flowers, arranging displays, and ensuring all products are organized and visually appealing
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting seasonal products, accessories, and complementary items to enhance customer experience
- Manage inventory levels of flowers, foliage, containers, and supplies through proper stock rotation and merchandising techniques
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including flower prep stations and storage areas, adhering to safety standards
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, providing expert advice on seasonal availability and color palettes.
Experience
- Previous experience in floral design is a must.
- Knowledge of floral design principles, color theory, and arrangement techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail sales processes, and merchandising strategies
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking, inventory management, and display setup
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Experience with customer service roles within retail or floral settings demonstrates your ability to connect with clients effectively
