Overview
Evolution Physical Therapy and Fitness is seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals for our Performance Internship Program. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic, high-performance training environment under the guidance of Head of Performance, Michael Statuti, and the Evolution Performance Staff.
Interns will gain direct experience coaching and assisting with training sessions for athletes of all levels — from high school teams to elite professionals across multiple organizations, including MLS, USL, PLL, and MLB.
This program is designed to develop coaching and performance skills through practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to industry-leading sports science technologies.

Key Learning Opportunities
- Hands-on coaching experience in both weight room and field/court settings
- Direct interaction with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes
- Learn and implement Evolution’s industry-leading strength, conditioning, and speed programs
- Exposure to cutting-edge performance technologies including: VALD, Catapult, Vitruve, TeamBuilder, and more
- Mentorship and educational sessions with the Evolution Performance Team
- Assist the strength and performance staff with session setup, breakdown, and supervision
- Coach and support athletes during semi-private and team training sessions focused on strength, speed, and power development
- Conduct periodic performance assessments and communicate results to athletes, parents, and staff
- Learn and apply sports science tools and data tracking methodologies
- Support daily facility operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
- Participate in the educational curriculum designed to enhance coaching and performance development
- CPR/AED Certified (required)
- Resume and three references (required)
- Pursuing or holding an accredited certification such as CSCS, SCCC, USWA, NASM-CES, or similar
- Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in coaching, athletic performance, or strength and conditioning preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Paid internship with mentorship from industry-leading professionals
