Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will handle full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, perform timely bank reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet and general ledger accounts. This role requires strong proficiency in cloud-based ERP systems and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice receipt, coding, three-way matching, vendor payments, and reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including customer invoicing, payment application, aging analysis, and collections support.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger entries on a monthly basis, identifying variances and preparing adjusting entries as needed.
- Process transactions and generate reports within a cloud-based ERP system (Acumatica or similar).
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and provide accurate financial information.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, financial reporting, and process improvements as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on responsibility for AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet/general ledger reconciliations.
- Demonstrated experience working in a cloud-based ERP system (Acumatica or equivalent such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Intacct).
Preferred:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, including Shopify or Amazon Seller Central (a strong plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
