Interior Designer (Design-Build Company)

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Designer to join our fast-paced, design-build company dedicated to delivering exceptional interior design (layouts, finishes, scope) solutions. In this role, you will be the creative force behind conceptualizing and developing comprehensive design plans that align with client visions and project goals. Your expertise will drive the entire design process from initial concept through detailed drafting, rendering, & construction design pacakges, ensuring seamless integration with construction and project management teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape inspiring spaces while collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to bring visionary projects to life.

Duties

• Develop innovative design concepts for a variety of projects including renovations, interiors, and new constructions using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, drafting plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models that meet project specifications and building codes.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to establish accurate project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating parameters.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document review, markups, and collaboration on design drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to interior design aspects by selecting materials, finishes, furniture layouts, and lighting solutions that enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Support renovation projects by integrating existing structures into new designs while maintaining structural integrity.
• Working directly with our residential construction clients to help them design their space, selection their finishes and guide them in a quick and efficient manner to obtaining their dream renovation seamlessly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in architectural or interior design within a design-build environment or similar setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), CAD software tools, 2020 and Archsynth
• Strong knowledge of construction processes including estimating, budgeting, scheduling (project scheduling), and construction management principles.
• Experience in project management software for tracking progress and coordinating teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of renovation processes as well as interior design principles including space planning and material selection.
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear documentation of all project phases.
