What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Tech position at Evolution Driveline?
Description:
The primary function of this position is to ensure that stock unit shipments are properly packaged and loaded/unloaded in order to complete shipping on-time in a safe, orderly manner. It is the expectation that this position be flexible to assist in other warehouse duties when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ship units to customers (manage/organize DC transfers, stock orders.)
- Organize all printed orders from sales department that require shipping
- Double check orders to ensure accuracy
- Load and unload trucks as necessary with forklift and by hand
- Process all orders in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Communicate backorders to warehouse lead or supervisor as necessary
- Perform daily cycle count on components and log into inventory management system.
- Enter daily Inventory.
- Tag purchased units.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse space.
- Other tasks as directed.
- Works with warehouse staff to pull, pick and ship or deliver orders to customers in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Assist daily with general warehouse duties, such as stocking shelves, kitting, and general cleanliness of warehouse.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Demonstrated focus on customer service and team building
- Two years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- Basic computer skills including shipping software and MS Office
- Able to work independently.
