Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product roadmap for developer-facing API services, balancing immediate business requirements with long-term architectural stability
- Translate complex technical requirements into crisp user stories, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and technical product requirements documents (PRDs)
- Collaborate with engineering leads and software architects to make technical trade-off decisions regarding system performance, scalability, and delivery timelines
- Establish, monitor, and report on key product success metrics, including API latency, developer adoption rates, and integration time-to-value
- Synthesize feedback from external developer partners, solutions architects, and customer success teams to refine product priorities and backlog grooming
- 3-6 years of experience in product management, specifically managing technical platform products, APIs, or developer tools
- Strong technical background with the ability to read code, write basic SQL queries, and understand modern system architectures (microservices, REST, gRPC)
- Proven track record of managing complex, technical roadmaps and launching enterprise-grade developer platforms
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional engineering partners without direct authority
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly technical/analytical discipline
- Bonus: Experience with AWS services, developer portals, or managing products built on major API gateways like Apigee or Kong
