About the RoleWe are seeking a Sales Support Specialist with experience in the veterinary industry or a closely related healthcare field to join our team in Somerset, NJ. This position plays a vital role in supporting our sales operations by processing orders, managing CRM data, and ensuring outstanding customer service for veterinary professionals.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about animal health. You will work closely with the sales team to maintain strong client relationships, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and contribute to the company’s continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Answer incoming sales calls, address customer inquiries, and provide accurate product information.
- Process customer orders from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Enter and maintain data within CRM and order management systems.
- Make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to promote products and services.
- Collaborate with the sales team to follow up on leads and support deal closure.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues and handling requests promptly.
- Prepare reports on sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics.
- Support administrative functions and assist other departments as needed.
- Stay informed about veterinary products, promotions, and industry trends.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, sales support, or account management, preferably within the veterinary or healthcare industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy in order entry and data management.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business or veterinary coursework is a plus.
- Experience in small to medium-sized companies (50–200 employees) or niche veterinary businesses.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software (e.g., EzyVet, IDEXX Neo) or automated client communication tools.
