About the Role
EveryDay We Care, LLC. is launching services under the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (HCBSW) for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and solutions-focused Family Consultant to provide individualized support, consultation, and training to families of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this role, you will guide families in implementing treatment plans, strengthening daily living skills, and promoting independence—all in alignment with COMAR 10.09.56, Medicaid regulations, and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify family strengths, needs, and goals.
- Develop and update family-centered treatment plans using SMART goals.
- Provide one-to-one consultation, coaching, and behavior strategy support to families.
- Assist with skill-building in communication, socialization, ADLs, and adaptive functioning.
- Guide families through transitions, including school-to-adult service planning and community integration.
- Develop and monitor Individualized Adult Life Plans, including employment, education, and independent living goals.
- Coordinate with schools, service coordinators, DORS, and adult service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide training on positive behavior interventions, adaptive equipment, and family support strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, plans, progress notes, and required reports.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, team meetings, and case reviews.
- Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance with HIPAA, COMAR, and Medicaid regulations.
- Work flexibly in a hybrid model, including home visits, virtual meetings, and community-based support.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet ONE of the following:
- Master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in Human Services or Special Education or Special Education field and 5 years of experience providing consultation or training related to ASD or developmental disabilities; OR
- A valid license/certification such as:
- Licensed Psychologist
- Licensed or Certified School Psychologist
- Licensed Social Worker
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
- Licensed Nurse Psychotherapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certified Special Educator
- BCBA
Additional Requirements
- Experience working with ASD, developmental disabilities, or behavioral support services.
- Strong communication, training, and family engagement skills.
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
- Culturally responsive and inclusive service approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation.
- Valid driver's license with 2 years of driving experience and reliable transportation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.
- Successful background check, required screenings, and compliance with state/federal health requirements.
- Must be 21 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid schedule with remote work and in-person visits.

- Must maintain a private, confidential workspace and reliable internet.
