About the Role
As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in preparing high‑quality meals, ensuring proper food handling, and supporting a positive dining experience for everyone in our community. You’ll also help guide Food Service Aides during your shift, maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do
Prepare meals for residents and staff according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
Assist in supervising and instructing Food Service Aides during assigned shifts
Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safe food handling
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all food prepared
Follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Experience
Six months of food preparation experience in a hospital, institutional setting, or restaurant preferred
Experience in long‑term care or healthcare strongly preferred
Qualifications
ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification preferred
Ability to read and follow recipes; basic math skills (add, subtract)
Strong organizational skills and creativity in food preparation
Ability to take responsibility for accuracy and quality of work
