Responsibilities
Medical Records
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medical records.
- Process admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Audit medical records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Manage physician orders and required clinical documentation.
- Assist with medical record requests and survey preparation.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all federal and state regulations.
Staffing Scheduler
- Develop and maintain nursing schedules for all shifts.
- Coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage based on resident census and acuity.
- Manage daily call-ins and secure replacement staff as needed.
- Track employee schedules, time-off requests, and staffing changes.
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and nursing leadership to meet staffing needs.
- Maintain staffing reports and scheduling documentation.
Qualifications
- Current Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing required.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting required.
- Experience with medical records, staffing, scheduling, or nursing administration preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, medical record requirements, and long-term care regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records and scheduling software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
