Senior level Mechanical technician

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Senior level experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly, welding, potting, molding and winding

Coil Winding/Motor winding. Insulate and wind copper into various shapes and sizes

General high level mechanical operations

Use of hand tools/ Use measurement devices i.e., micrometers and calipers

Welding, brazing, Electrical test equipment.

Read Blueprints

Potting of Applied Remag Coils

• Clean and deburr mold
• Install coil in mold
• Remove coil from mold, clean, deburr and repair
• Install terminal block and lead terminals
• Perform electrical, hydro and flow tests
• Must be able to stand for extended periods

Coil Winder

Winds coils used in electrical equipment and instruments or as electronic components, according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools.

Reviews wiring diagrams and work order or examines sample coil to ascertain type and size of wire specified, and type, size, length, circumference, and primary and secondary windings of coil to be wound.

Position Requirements

5 years of Strong Mechanical Aptitude and experience.

HS Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read blueprints/assembly drawings

Extensive experience with hand tools and power equipment

2-3 years’ experience Brazing/Soldering

Use of measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer)

• Good work history and good attendance record
• A positive attitude.
• Must be able to stand and bend, for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, chemicals.
