Role Description The Quality Control Personnel role is a full-time, on-site position based in Caldwell, TX. This role is responsible for inspecting materials, equipment, and work performed to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company quality procedures. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual and dimensional inspections, reviewing documentation such as test reports and weld records, and verifying that corrective actions are implemented when nonconformances are identified. The Quality Control Personnel will collaborate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and craft teams to address quality issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain accurate inspection records. The role also involves participating in safety and quality meetings, assisting with audits, and helping to train team members on quality requirements and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection methods, and documentation practices in construction or industrial environments.
- Experience with midstream or energy infrastructure projects (pipeline, facilities, fabrication, maintenance, or decommissioning) is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment, and in maintaining clear, accurate records and reports.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with field crews, supervisors, and management.
- Prior experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related role; relevant certifications (e.g., CWI, API, NDT) are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or an associate degree in a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Caldwell, TX, including in outdoor and industrial environments, and to meet physical demands of field inspections.
