The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for:
- Performing routine and specialized microbiology testing using manual and automated laboratory techniques.
- Analyzing and validating test results, identifying abnormalities, and communicating critical findings.
- Conducting quality control testing, instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining accurate laboratory records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Participating in proficiency testing, laboratory inspections, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree meeting NYS and CLIA requirements, or equivalent grandfathered qualifications.
- Current NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required; ASCP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of microbiology laboratory testing, procedures, and quality control practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation: $100,000 to $128,000 annually
