Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position Summary
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat children to support functional
independence through meaningful, engaging, and play-based therapy. You will take a lead role in evaluations, treatment planning, and family collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans with functional, family-centered goals
- Provide one-on-one pediatric OT intervention sessions
- Address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, motor planning, self-regulation, coordination, and ADLs/play skills
- Write clear, timely evaluation reports and progress documentation
- Communicate results and recommendations to families and caregivers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with clinic standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with current Minnesota state licensure
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
- Creative, playful, neurodiversity-affirming approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Compensation (OT)
1099 Independent Contractor Option
- Set your own schedule and caseload within clinic hours
- Per-session reimbursement (negotiable based on experience)
- Contractor responsible for taxes, insurance, and retirement
Typical rates:
- $60-70 (Therapy Sessions)
- $90–$140 (Evaluations)
E.g., 30 (60-minute) sessions a week at $65, 48 weeks of the year = 1,950 weekly, $93,600 year.
W-2 Employee Option
- Full-time salary range: $70,000–$90,000
- Part-time options available
- ~80% productivity expectation

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Position Summary
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will provide high-quality pediatric therapy
services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role is ideal for clinicians who
enjoy hands-on, play-based therapy, strong collaboration with families, and supervision by an
OT.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric OT treatment sessions under OT supervision
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
- Support the development of motor skills, sensory regulation, coordination, and daily living/play skills
- Engage children in creative, play-based therapeutic activities
Communicate progress and observations to the supervising OT
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current
Minnesota licensure
- Pediatric experience preferred
