Proposal Manager (AEC firm)

Proposal Manager (Experienced) | AEC/Energy & Infrastructure | Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 2 days p/w)

We're partnering with a leading energy infrastructure business that's delivering complex engineering and construction projects across the public sector. As they continue to grow, they're looking for a Tenured and Experienced Proposal Manager to lead high-value pursuits and help shape the company's next phase of growth.

What you'll be doing

• Lead multiple RFPs, RFQs and strategic pursuits from qualification through submission.
• Develop proposal schedules, manage deadlines and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Partner with technical experts to translate complex engineering solutions into compelling customer proposals.
• Shape win strategies by identifying customer priorities, competitive differentiators and persuasive messaging.
• Facilitate proposal kick-offs, reviews and executive presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement across proposal processes, content libraries and branding standards.
• Ensure every submission is delivered to the highest standard—on time and fully compliant.

What we're looking for

You'll likely bring experience from another ESCO or an Engineering, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure or AEC environment where you've managed complex, deadline-driven pursuits in Energy.

We're particularly interested in professionals who have:

• 5 years of proposal management experience.
• A proven Project Manager able to define and lead a teamwide process
• A track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary proposals.
• Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills.
• The ability to influence engineers, business developers and senior leaders without direct authority.
• Experience developing proposal strategy; not just coordinating documents.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Responsive, Loopio, Qvidian or similar proposal management software is highly desirable.
