The Opportunity – Senior Manager of Field Service
This role leads the Field Service operations for the Eastern Region, with responsibility for both performance and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee sales budget and achieve gross margin goals
- Manage and develop technical teams, coordinators, and support staff
- Conduct client visits to strengthen relationships and uncover service opportunities
- Evaluate field service reports, identify improvements, and ensure quality standards
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts
- Provide solutions for equipment performance and warranty issues
- Review and approve timesheets, service tickets, and expense reports
- Lead scheduling, service order management, and service agreement execution
- Quote and manage compressor repairs, rebuilds, and “chem-skid” start-ups (domestic & international)
- Partner with R&D on compressor projects and problem-solving initiatives
- Develop streamlined troubleshooting processes and standardized service pricing
- Administer service policies and bulletins, minimizing warranty costs
- Coach, train, and motivate team members while identifying areas for growth
- Oversee collections on overdue accounts
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 3 years in industrial refrigeration
- 3 years in sales and business development
- 5 years in business leadership
- Remote field service management experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
