Responsibilities
- Assist with property maintenance tasks including repairs, landscaping, cleaning, and general upkeep to ensure properties remain safe and attractive.
- Support leasing activities by preparing units for new tenants, conducting move-in inspections, and assisting with property showings.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and tenant communications using property management software such as Appfolio.
- Help enforce lease agreements and Fair Housing regulations while providing exceptional customer service to residents and prospective tenants.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify repair needs or safety hazards, coordinating with vendors or contractors as necessary.
- Manage administrative duties including data entry, filing legal documents related to landlord-tenant law, and processing lease paperwork.
- Support facilities management by overseeing property supplies, coordinating repairs with maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as Section 8 or LIHTC programs. Qualifications
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred; familiarity with LIHTC, Section 8, or Fair Housing regulations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures related to property leasing and contracts.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Appfolio; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective phone etiquette and conflict management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
- Office experience with data entry, filing, and general administrative support is essential; familiarity with legal documentation is beneficial.
- Strong negotiation skills for upselling amenities or services that enhance resident satisfaction while adhering to Fair Housing regulations.
