Receiving and Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Receiving and Shipping Supervisor to lead our warehouse distribution operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within our distribution center. Your leadership will ensure that all shipping and receiving processes are executed smoothly, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse distribution activities related to shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
• Coordinate the movement of materials using material handling equipment such as forklifts and tablets, maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow inefficiencies and implementing lean management techniques to enhance productivity.
• Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and provide training on warehouse operations, safety protocols (OSHA compliance), and equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and warehouse operations to foster a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate distribution center operations, optimize shipping schedules, and resolve any issues promptly.
• Yard jockey empty/full trailers in and out of doors.
• Create work orders for trailers needing repairs.

Skills

• Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and inventory management systems.
• Proven leadership in warehouse supervisor roles with strong team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts/skid steers and understanding of heavy lifting safety procedures.
• Skilled in process improvement methodologies
• Bilingual - English & Spanish
• Excellent managerial communication skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse safety practices and materials handling regulations.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in shipping & receiving tasks.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
