Duties

• Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to efficiently move recyclable materials.
• Manage recyclable materials handling processes at various collection points and transfer stations.
• Conduct heavy equipment operation while adhering to safety protocols and PPE use to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Assist in landfill management activities, including waste sorting, compaction, and environmental compliance checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment.
• Follow hazardous materials regulations during the handling and transportation of potentially dangerous recyclables or waste.
• Support outdoor work activities involving heavy lifting, material sorting, and waste disposal with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to recycling machinery and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of solid waste management practices, landfill operations, and environmental compliance standards.
• Familiarity with safety regulations including hazard communication and PPE protocols for outdoor work environments.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
• Excellent understanding of recyclable materials handling processes and sanitation procedures.
• Prior experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
