Position Summary
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment to keep them operating safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
- Replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
- Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
Qualifications
- 2 Years Experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Must have own tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in shop and outdoor environments.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions when needed.
Reports To: Shop Manager
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
