Job Summary:

Evergreen Clearing, Inc., is growing their internal maintenance team and is seeking a Full-time Diesel Mechanic to service and maintain their fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. This position has the opportunity for future growth both in the department and the company. Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Perform routine maintenance, service and repairs on heavy equipment including dump trucks, dozers, excavators, rollers, and John Deere equipment.

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and steering components.

· Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.

· Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment.

· Order and install replacement parts and fluids as needed.

· Conduct road tests and inspections to verify proper performance after repairs.

· Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.

· Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA and company safety regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· ASE Certification or equivalent is a plus.

· Welding and fabrication experience beneficial.

· Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet maintenance programs.

· Must provide personal tools

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in diesel technology preferred.

· 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.

· Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

· Proficient with diagnostic software and repair tools.

· Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required; Clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying environments (shop and field settings).

· May involve working outdoors

· This position may involve exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

· Safety equipment and adherence to all company safety protocols is required.

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
