Diesel Mechanic

Archers Diesel Repair & Sales is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles, including heavy machinery, construction equipment, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. Pay based on experience.

• Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy equipment service environment with knowledge of diesel mechanics and automotive repair processes
• Familiarity with schematics, mechanical systems repair, and diagnostic tools used in automotive electrical system repair and HVAC systems
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, excavators, cranes, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and power tools
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes (including air brakes), alignment procedures, hydraulics, welding, soldering, and tire service
• Ability to read technical schematics and utilize diagnostic tools for automotive electrical systems and vehicle systems troubleshooting
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks such as parts inventory control and customer service efficiently
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate hand tools or power tools as needed for maintenance support
• Effective communication skills to liaise between technicians, vendors, customers, and management
• Must have own tools

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
• Skilled in diagnostics for automotive repair as well as industrial equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals; familiarity with OEM parts and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools and other maintenance apparatus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely; strong attention to detail in maintenance procedures.
