Role Description The Assistant Manager at Evergreen Assisted Living will support the overall daily operations of the community, ensuring high standards of resident care, safety, and service. This full-time, on-site role is located in Edmond, OK, and involves supervising care staff, assisting with scheduling, and helping manage staffing coverage. The Assistant Manager will monitor resident well-being, coordinate with families and healthcare providers, and assist with admissions, assessments, and care plan updates. The role also includes maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, overseeing documentation, and supporting training and performance feedback for team members. In addition, the Assistant Manager will help with household management activities, such as inventory oversight, quality control, and fostering a positive, resident-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or a related residential care setting, with a strong commitment to person-centered care.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience, including staff coordination, scheduling, and supporting performance and training.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage documentation, follow regulatory and company policies, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly to urgent or emergent situations.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic records, email communication, and scheduling or care management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in healthcare, social services, or management is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licensure (such as CNA, CRMA, or Assisted Living/Long-Term Care administrator training) are a plus.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including assisting residents with mobility and activities of daily living, as needed.
- Background check and any required state compliance clearances for assisted living settings.
