Senior Staff Accountant

Position Summary
 The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role serves as a key contributor to financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. The Senior Staff Accountant will also assist with process improvements, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Analyze financial statements and variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Review and support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Prepare audit schedules and serve as a main point of contact during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to Staff Accountants or other team members.
• Assist with special projects, system implementations, and financial initiatives as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  Work Environment

• Office-based or hybrid schedule depending on company policy.
• May require extended hours during peak billing or month-end periods.

Compensation:

$100,000.00 to $120,000.00
