Everett Ship Repair is the Pacific Northwest’s Premiere Ship Repair Facility. Founded in 2019, Everett Ship Repair offers vast ship repair capabilities from its facility in Everett, Washington, including repair, maintenance, and conversion services for any type of commercial vessels, with focus on commercial workboats and passenger vessels. We are seeking a reliable and professional Front Desk /Office Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a friendly demeanor. You will assist with general office work, such as answering the telephone, filing, scanning, running errands and other related functions. Computer Savvy is a MUST!
The ideal candidate must have experience in an office setting and possess strong organizational and administrative skills.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet and welcome employees and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Direct traffic coming in and out of the office.
- Sign visitors in and out and distribute badges as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact for yard employees.
- Perform general office administrative tasks, including project support for staff members.
- Order office supplies for the front office and cleaning supplies for the Facilities team.
- Assist in organizing company events.
- Support the Project Management team and other departments as needed.
- Create spreadsheets to track various information (e.g., TWIC holders, escort-trained personnel, Facilities team roster).
- Maintain contact sheets for general internal use and for project needs.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and other visitors regarding arrivals, departures, visits, and any questions or concerns.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Office Assistant and/or Front Desk Experience
- Methodical and well-organized approach to the work environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels.
- Must be able to deal with short time frames and handle multiple competing priorities.
- Experience working in an integrated team environment.
- Possess a can-do attitude & will do actions.
- Computer savvy - experience with Microsoft Office a must.
- Ability to commit to a 40 hour per week schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass company pre-employment screens in background check and drug screening.
