Everett Public Schools is currently seeking coverage for a long-term substitute during the 25-26 academic year that specializes in World Language:Spanish. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the educator will facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment to students, parents and administration regarding student progress. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provides differentiated learning experiences that enable all students to make progress. 
• Develops well-structured lessons with challenging, measurable objectives and appropriate student engagement strategies. 
• Organizes and analyzes results from a variety of assessments to determine progress, adjust practice and implement appropriate interventions. 
• Provides regular, specific feedback to students and families on student performance, including how it can be improved. 
• Welcomes and encourages every family to become active participants in the classroom and school community. 
• Uses two way communication with families about student performance and responds promptly and carefully to communication from families. 
• Collaborates with colleagues to support improved student learning.
• Clearly communicates and consistently enforces specific standards for student work, effort and behavior. 
• Uses rituals and routines that create and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Consistently uses practices that are likely to enable students to demonstrate respect for differences. 
• regularly reflects on his/her practice, individually and with colleagues.
• Individually and with colleagues develops strategies that contribute to the learning and productive behavior of all students. 
• Actively creates and maintains an environment in which students’ diverse backgrounds, identities, strengths, and challenges are respected. 
• Performs reasonable professional tasks or duties as may be requested by the Principal. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree 
• At least 1 years’ experience 
• DESE Licensure required 

Salary: 

Salary for this position will be based on the Everett Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. SY 25-26 - Annual Salary of $63,280.
