Position Overview
We are seeking two Network Deployment & Implementation Engineers to support enterprise network infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and migration activities. These roles are responsible for hands-on installation, configuration support, migration execution, validation testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
Engineers in this role work closely with the Senior Network Engineer to execute deployment activities across physical and logical network infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of enterprise network field engineering or deployment experience.
- CCNA certification required.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst switching environments.
- Strong experience with structured cabling and rack-and-stack activities.
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS-XE and switching fundamentals.
- Experience supporting network migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ability to perform network validation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret network diagrams and port mappings.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNP Enterprise certification.
- Cisco 9300 deployment experience.
- BICSI certification.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Experience with NetBox, DCIM, or IPAM systems.
- Fiber termination and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in multi-site enterprise deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Assessment & Infrastructure Discovery
- Perform site surveys of IDF/MDF rooms and network infrastructure environments.
- Document rack layouts, elevations, power availability, and equipment inventory.
- Capture asset data including serial numbers, device models, and port mappings.
- Support cable tracing, validation, and infrastructure discovery activities.
Network Deployment & Installation
- Rack, stack, cable, and install network equipment in enterprise environments.
- Install switches, optics, power supplies, stacking cables, and related hardware.
- Perform structured cabling, patching, and physical network installations.
- Label equipment and cabling according to standards.
- Verify rack readiness, power availability, and equipment placement.
Migration & Cutover Support
- Execute network migration and cutover activities under technical direction.
- Perform patch cable migrations and infrastructure transitions.
- Support implementation sequencing during deployment windows.
- Assist with rollback preparation and contingency execution.
- Support post-cutover stabilization activities.
Network Validation & Testing
- Confirm physical and logical network readiness post-deployment.
- Assist in troubleshooting network and infrastructure issues.
Documentation & Inventory
- Maintain accurate deployment logs, asset inventories, and port mappings.
- Capture implementation data including serial numbers, device details, and rack layouts.
- Support creation of as-built documentation and network records.
- Assist in maintaining structured technical documentation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
