Senior Application Architect
Introduction:
The Senior Application Architect will be responsible for leading large-scale application portfolio assessment, migration strategy, and modernization roadmap development at an enterprise scale. They will work with diverse technology landscapes and collaborate with client teams to design target state cloud architectures and DevSecOps transformation pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale application portfolio discovery and assessment engagements
- Design target state cloud architectures for enterprise applications
- Develop migration strategies and R-Treatment decision frameworks
- Translate assessment findings into detailed modernization roadmaps
- Own the solutioning narrative for proposals and support technical solution defense sessions
- Collaborate with the Solutions team to build reusable assessment and strategy assets
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- 15 years of IT experience with minimum 5 years as an Enterprise Architect or Cloud Architect
- 8-12 years of experience in application architecture with specialization in portfolio assessment and migration strategy
- Experience in leading application assessment engagements for large enterprise clients
- Expertise in R-Treatment decision frameworks and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Hands-on knowledge of application discovery and assessment tooling
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps toolchains and business case development
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Experience in onsite-offshore engagement models with direct stakeholder engagement
Preferred Skills:
- 7 years of hands-on development experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core and Java (Spring / J2EE)
- 5 years of experience with enterprise databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and modern application frameworks
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and migration best practices
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred
Education:
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred
- Additional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty are a plus
