Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings efficiently
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills by engaging with diverse customers in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols is essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote menu items effectively
- Knowledge of hospitality principles including guest relations, food preparation, and serving techniques
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service
- Host/hostess experience or background in food industry roles such as bussing or cashiering is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy are required
