Material Handler

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess company approved forklift license
• Operate hand or power equipment
• Safely load and transport items being moved by hand or with power equipment
• Load and unload trucks and trailers, operate scales and part identifying equipment
• Accurately process paperwork pertinent to receiving and shipping, and warehousing raw materials and finished goods

· Able to learn the Paperless System, tablets & automated systems

· Count parts handled according to established guidelines to ensure safe transportation to destination

• Maintain neatness and organization of work areas, pull and stage raw materials or finished goods for assembly jobs or shipment
• Manually lift, move, handle materials weighing up to and over 100 pounds using team lift
• Perform fine hand manipulation to assemble stock
• Use various equipment such as forklift, crane, table saw, radial arm saw, drill press, nail gun, staple gun and band saw
• Proficiently read and use a measuring tape
• Able to read & understand engineering blueprints
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Bend up to 40 degrees and twist up to 45 degrees
• Other duties as assigned by the lead/supervisor

Educational Requirements / Experience:

• Prior Forklift experience preferred but not required
