Position Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating Absolute Haitian Injection Molding Machines to produce high-quality molded plastic components. This role requires technical knowledge of machine functions, process adjustments, troubleshooting, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation
- Set up, start, operate, and shut down Absolute Haitian Injection Molding Machines.
- Perform mold changes, tool adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required.
- Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and material flow to ensure smooth production.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for alarms, quality issues, and minor mechanical or process deviations.
Quality Control
- Inspect parts according to company specifications and quality standards.
- Record production data, scrap, and process changes.
- Ensure consistent part quality through correct temperatures, pressures, timings, and material handling.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians to address mechanical or electrical issues.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and machine-safety practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Comply with all production SOPs, quality policies, and ISO standards (if applicable).
Skills & Qualifications:
Required
- 1–2 years of experience operating Absolute Haitian Injection Molding Machines or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of injection molding processes, machine controls, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production sheets, and basic technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
- Experience with robots, conveyors, dryers, hoppers, and other auxiliary equipment.
- Understanding of basic mechanical/electrical systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or ISO procedures.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and heated materials (PPE required).
- Rotating or fixed shifts (depending on company needs).
Physical Requirements
- Standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, molds, and small components.
Pay: Up to $66,000.00 per year
