Job Description: As a JR. Sous Chef at EEG, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment for our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BOH operations, a proven track record of cooking fundamentals leadership, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. As a JR. Sous Chef, you will be in a pivotal role ensuring the success of our establishments, overseeing operations and leading a team dedicated to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Train and develop staff to deliver exceptional service and achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Assign, delegate and lead with enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with the sous chef and executive chef in day-to-day operations of the BOH, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, and management of supplies.
- Ensure that food is high quality, and that kitchen is in good, clean, and hygienic condition.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, assisting culinary leadership with day-to-day operations.
- Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain the schedule for staff shifts.
- Monitor and maintain the kitchen equipment, and arrange repairs and service as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar role.
- Entry level leadership in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Results-driven with a focus on SOP’s, quality assurance.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and cooking procedures.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
