Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Training Assistant to support our training programs and initiatives. This role is essential in helping ensure that our workforce is well-trained, compliant, and equipped with the skills needed to succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling training sessions for new hires and existing employees
- Maintain accurate training records and databases
- Prepare training materials, handouts, and visual aids
- Support trainers during sessions by setting up equipment and managing attendance
- Track employee progress and follow up on required certifications or renewals
- Help evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and feedback collection
- Collaborate with supervisors and HR to identify training needs
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory training requirements
- Assist in creating engaging and effective training materials including videos, presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in HR, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing, outdoor and office environments
- Wear PPE when required
- Continuous standing and sitting throughout the workday
- Occasional lifting/carrying materials no more than 50 lbs.
