Evans Home Improvement is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional with extensive knowledge of exterior home improvements, including roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, and metal work. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately inspect properties, diagnose leaks and repair needs, create detailed estimates, and provide homeowners with effective solutions.
This position is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge who enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and helping projects move from inspection to completion.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of residential properties.
- Prepare accurate estimates for roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, metal work, and exterior repairs.
- Diagnose roof leaks, siding issues, water intrusion problems, and other exterior building concerns.
- Identify storm damage and document findings.
- Measure projects and calculate labor and material requirements.
- Develop scopes of work for repairs and full replacements.
- Meet with homeowners to discuss findings and project options.
- Work with insurance adjusters and homeowners on restoration projects when applicable.
- Maintain detailed inspection notes, photos, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from sale to production.
- Follow up with leads and assist in closing projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, roofing, siding, or related trades.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Roofing systems
- Vinyl, composite, and fiber cement siding
- Windows and doors
- Gutters and drainage systems
- Flashing and sheet metal work
- Leak detection and repair methods
- Ability to identify construction defects and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and inspecting roofs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with insurance restoration claims is a plus.
- Experience with estimating software and CRM systems is preferred.
