Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) NF-02

This position is located with the Aquatics Center on Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Qualifications:

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Possesses and maintains the following certifications (A copy of each certification must be submitted at the time of application):
  • Lifeguard (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard or Ellis.)
  • American Red Cross Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional.
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis.)
  • First Aid.
• Customer service experience.

Highly Preferred: Candidates that possess highly preferred criteria and meet the minimum qualifications above will be referred to the hiring manager first. Criteria is verified within the application package.

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent, i.e. Star Guard or Ellis Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent, i.e. Star Guard or Ellis Water Safety Instructor Certification.
