We are seeking a master-level Lead Cabinet Maker to join our team in Pleasant Grove, UT. This is a dual-impact role: you will be the "go-to" expert for our most complex, high-precision custom European furniture projects and the primary leader for our shop floor. Key Responsibilities
- Master Craftsmanship: Execute the most technical and challenging carpentry tasks, including complex joinery, high-end veneering, and intricate custom builds.
- Shop Leadership: Supervise the daily workflow of the shop team, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting production hurdles, and ensuring the team stays on schedule.
- Quality Control: Maintain the "Euromax Standard" for every piece that leaves the shop, performing rigorous inspections of construction and finish.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints and shop drawings, translating high-level designs into flawless physical pieces.
- Process Optimization: Oversee the use of CNC machinery and traditional hand tools, ensuring equipment is maintained and utilized for maximum precision.
- Mentorship: Act as a lead mentor to junior cabinet makers and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 7 years of professional experience in custom cabinetry or high-end furniture making (European style preferred).
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a team in a shop environment; ability to delegate effectively and motivate others.
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency with all shop machinery (table saws, shapers, edge-banders, CNC) and hand tools.
- Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for detail, from grain matching to hardware alignment.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to handle the physical demands of a woodshop, including heavy lifting (50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical requirements to the team and collaborate with designers or project managers.
