- Analytical analysis and testing:
- Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiries
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation
- Assist with test method development and validation efforts
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
- Performing pH and OV testing
- Foster morale and teamwork
- Attend meetings with client along with group leader or when group leader is absent
- Keep group leader informed on critical issues in the lab.
- Communicate with other labs, client, and management when group leader is out of office
- Be the “go to person” in the lab when Group leader is out of office
- Complete QC charting
- Monitor Backlog
- Support group leader in organizing testing, scheduling and planning and ensuring testing is completed within TAT
- Be available to group to support group leader with special and high volume projects
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
- Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, with occasional off-shift/weekend work
- Strong leadership, initiative, and team building skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company and client policies
- Ability to delegate workflow, as required
- Ability to work overtime/weekends
- Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment, lift over 50 lbs, and be standing for more than 50% of the shift
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
