Job Summary

The Hand Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts using hand tools while following customer drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, proper part handling, and adherence to safety procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality finished products.

Essential Functions

(Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following):

• Cut, shape, and finish parts according to customer drawings and specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform machining and finishing operations.
• Properly handle, clean, and inspect parts to ensure quality and prevent damage.
• Complete all required documentation and production paperwork accurately and timely.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs or issues.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and workplace safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
